Refunds Policy

TeachingPlans.ie is a small Irish business dedicated to creating practical digital resources and professional services for teachers and schools. We aim to describe our products and services clearly, respond fairly to problems and comply with applicable Irish law.

This Refunds Policy should be read together with our website Terms and Conditions and, where relevant, our Webinar Terms and Conditions and Consultancy Services Terms and Conditions.

  1. Digital Products and Immediate Access

Products sold through TeachingPlans.ie are generally digital products made available for immediate access following successful payment. No physical products will be delivered unless expressly stated otherwise.

By completing a purchase and accepting the TeachingPlans.ie Terms and Conditions, the customer expressly requests that the digital content included in the order be supplied immediately rather than waiting until the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period. The customer acknowledges that, once access to the digital content has been provided, they will lose any applicable statutory right to cancel in relation to that digital content, to the extent permitted by law.

This does not affect any statutory rights or remedies that may apply where digital content is faulty, is not supplied, does not match its description or otherwise fails to conform to the contract.

  1. Change-of-Mind Refunds

Subject to applicable statutory rights, refunds are not provided merely because:

  • The customer changes their mind.
  • The customer purchases an item by mistake or purchases the wrong product.
  • The customer no longer requires the product.
  • The customer decides that the resource is not suitable for their personal preferences or teaching approach where it corresponds with the description provided.
  • The customer does not have the software, equipment or technical knowledge required to use the stated file format.
  • The customer fails to download and save the product while access is available.
  • The product is subsequently updated, replaced or reduced in price.

Customers should review the product description, preview images, format, curriculum area, class level and software requirements carefully before purchasing. Questions may be emailed to info@teachingplans.ie before an order is placed.

  1. Faulty, Misdescribed or Unavailable Digital Content

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, customers who qualify as consumers may have statutory remedies where digital content:

  • Is not supplied.
  • Does not correspond with its description.
  • Does not function as reasonably expected.
  • Contains a significant defect or error.
  • Cannot be accessed because of a problem within the control of TeachingPlans.ie.
  • Does not otherwise conform to the contract.

Customers who identify a problem should contact info@teachingplans.ie as soon as reasonably practicable and provide their order number, a description of the issue and, where helpful, screenshots or other relevant information.

TeachingPlans.ie will investigate the matter and will ordinarily first attempt to resolve it by resending the files, restoring access, supplying a corrected file or providing reasonable technical assistance.

Any remedy will be provided without charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where the issue cannot be resolved appropriately, or where applicable law provides an immediate right to another remedy, the customer may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction, cancellation of the affected contract or a refund.

Nothing in this policy limits the period within which a customer may exercise a statutory right.

  1. Delivery and Email Problems

An order confirmation or delivery email being delayed, filtered into a spam or junk folder or rejected by a customer’s email provider does not necessarily mean that the product has not been supplied.

Customers should check the email address entered when placing the order, their spam or junk folder and any customer account or on-screen access information provided.

Where a customer cannot locate their files or access information, they should contact info@teachingplans.ie with their order number. TeachingPlans.ie will make reasonable efforts to verify the purchase and restore access or resend the relevant information.

TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for problems caused by an incorrect email address, a full inbox, customer email settings or another issue outside its reasonable control. Reasonable assistance will nevertheless be provided where possible.

  1. Software and Compatibility

The available file format and any relevant software requirements are identified in the product description where applicable. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have a compatible device and appropriate software before purchasing.

A refund will not ordinarily be provided because a customer does not have the software or technical skill required to use the stated format.

However, this does not affect statutory rights where the file supplied is corrupt, differs from the advertised format or cannot be used because of a defect within the control of TeachingPlans.ie.

  1. Failure to Download or Save Products

Customers are responsible for downloading and securely saving purchased files as soon as reasonably practicable.

Download links and online access are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. Products may later be updated, replaced, removed or reconfigured.

Where a customer has not retained their files, TeachingPlans.ie may attempt to resend the original purchase if contacted within six months of the order. The customer must provide their order number, and resending is subject to the original file remaining available and the customer’s entitlement being verified.

Failure to download or save a product does not ordinarily provide a right to a refund. This does not affect any statutory remedy that may apply where the product was not properly supplied.

  1. Duplicate Purchases

Customers should check their basket and previous orders before completing payment.

Where the same customer accidentally purchases an identical product more than once, they should contact info@teachingplans.ie promptly with the relevant order numbers. TeachingPlans.ie will review the circumstances and may refund a genuine duplicate payment where appropriate.

This does not apply where separate purchases were required to provide licences for different users.

  1. Product Updates

A purchase provides access to the version described and supplied at the time of purchase. It does not provide an automatic entitlement to later editions, substantial revisions, redesigned products or resources updated for new curriculum requirements.

A later update, replacement or redesign of a product does not make the original product faulty and does not provide a right to a refund, provided that the original product corresponded with its description when supplied.

  1. Webinars

Refunds and cancellations relating to live webinars, pre-recorded webinars, webinar recordings and associated digital materials are governed by the relevant webinar description and the TeachingPlans.ie Webinar Terms and Conditions.

Subject to applicable statutory rights, a participant is not entitled to a refund or transfer merely because they miss a live webinar or are unable to attend for personal reasons.

Where a booking includes digital materials made available immediately, Section 1 of this Refunds Policy applies to those materials.

If TeachingPlans.ie cancels a paid webinar and does not provide an agreed reasonable alternative, participants will receive an appropriate refund in accordance with the Webinar Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

  1. Consultancy Services

Refunds, deposits, cancellations and rescheduling arrangements relating to consultancy services are governed by the Consultancy Services Terms and Conditions and any proposal, quotation or booking agreement issued for the service.

Nothing in those terms affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  1. How Approved Refunds Are Issued

Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.

Refunds will be issued within the timeframe required by applicable law. TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for additional processing time imposed by the customer’s bank or payment provider after the refund has been submitted.

Where only part of an order is affected, any refund or price reduction may be limited to the affected product or part of the service.

  1. Contacting TeachingPlans.ie

Questions or claims under this policy should be sent to info@teachingplans.ie.

Customers should provide:

  • Their name.
  • Their order number.
  • The email address used for the order.
  • The name of the product or service.
  • A clear description of the issue.
  • Any relevant screenshots or supporting information.

TeachingPlans.ie will review the information supplied and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

  1. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refunds Policy excludes, restricts or replaces any statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
