Webinar T&Cs

These Terms and Conditions apply to all webinars offered by Teachingplans.ie, facilitated by Claire, whether live or pre-recorded. By registering for, or booking a webinar, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Scope of Services

TeachingPlans.ie offers live and pre-recorded webinars for teachers, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), schools and other organisations. Webinars may be provided to individual participants or booked by schools or other organisations and may be paid or free, as stated in the relevant webinar description or booking agreement.

The content, format, date, duration, access arrangements, materials, recordings, certificates and any other features included with a webinar will be specified in the relevant webinar description or agreed in writing at the time of booking.

Webinars delivered through the Education Centre network or another third-party organisation may also be subject to that organisation’s terms and conditions. Participants registering through such an organisation should refer to its applicable policies.

  1. Registration for Individual Participants

Registration for webinars offered directly to individual participants must be completed through the TeachingPlans.ie website, unless another registration method is specified. Participants are responsible for providing accurate information, including a valid email address, and for reviewing the webinar description and any access instructions supplied in connection with their booking.

TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for communications that are not received because a participant has provided incorrect information, has not checked their spam or junk folder, or is experiencing an email or other technical issue outside the control of TeachingPlans.ie.

  1. Webinar Bookings for Schools and Other Organisations

For webinars booked by a school or other organisation, the date, time, content, participant arrangements and fee will be agreed in advance. Once the booking has been confirmed, it is the responsibility of the school or organisation to ensure that participants receive the relevant information and comply with these Terms and Conditions.

A booking may not be cancelled or transferred once a date has been agreed, except where TeachingPlans.ie agrees to reschedule it. A 30% deposit is required to secure the agreed date and to cover preparation and administration. The deposit is non-refundable if the school or organisation cancels the booking.

Where a school or organisation requests a change of date, the deposit may be transferred to a new date by mutual agreement and subject to availability. The remaining balance is payable within the timeframe stated on the relevant invoice or booking agreement.

  1. Fees, Payment and Cancellations by Individual Participants

For webinars for which a fee applies, payment must be made in full at the time of registration unless otherwise stated. Subject to participants’ statutory consumer rights, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If a participant is unable to attend a live webinar at the scheduled date and time, no refund or transfer to another event will be provided. Where access to a recording is included, it will be supplied in accordance with the arrangements stated in the relevant webinar description.

Participants are responsible for providing a valid email address, retaining or locating their access details and ensuring that they have the necessary technology to access the webinar. TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible where a participant misses a session or cannot gain access because of circumstances within the participant’s control.

Where a booking includes digital materials or pre-recorded content made available for immediate access, the participant expressly requests that this digital content be supplied immediately by completing the purchase and accepting the TeachingPlans.ie website Terms and Conditions. The participant acknowledges that, once access to the digital content has been provided, they will lose any applicable statutory right to cancel in relation to that digital content, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects a participant’s statutory consumer rights.

  1. Participant Numbers and Access

Participant numbers may be limited and, where applicable, registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Access details are issued for the personal use of the registered participant only and must not be shared. Each individual purchase permits access by one participant unless the webinar description or a separate booking agreement expressly states otherwise. Sharing access details, allowing another person to use a booking or attempting to provide unauthorised access may result in access being refused or withdrawn and removal from the webinar without a refund, subject to the participant’s statutory rights.

TeachingPlans.ie may use registration information and attendance records generated by the webinar platform to verify that only authorised participants are present and, where applicable, to determine eligibility for a certificate.

  1. Resources and Participant Materials

TeachingPlans.ie may provide slides, handouts, templates, completed examples or other resources in connection with a webinar. The specific materials included, the method and timing of access, and any applicable access period will be stated in the webinar description or booking agreement.

Registration for or attendance at a webinar does not entitle a participant, school or organisation to receive any resource, product or service beyond those expressly included in the relevant description or booking agreement. Additional TeachingPlans.ie resources must be purchased separately unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Use of all webinar materials is subject to the licence and intellectual property provisions in Section 13.

  1. Follow-Up Support

TeachingPlans.ie may respond to a limited number of brief follow-up questions relating directly to a webinar. Follow-up support is discretionary and limited in scope and duration. Document review, consultancy and ongoing individual support are not included. Where additional support is requested, a separate service and fee may be agreed in advance.

  1. Free Webinars

Some webinars may be offered free of charge. Registration may still be required, and places may be limited. TeachingPlans.ie may cancel, reschedule or modify a free webinar where necessary and will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants of a significant change.

  1. Pre-recorded Webinars and Webinar Recordings

Where access to a pre-recorded webinar or a recording of a live webinar is included, the applicable access period, method of access and any other relevant conditions will be stated in the webinar description or accompanying instructions.

Access is for the registered participant’s personal professional use only and may not be shared with or transferred to another person. Access may be withdrawn where these Terms and Conditions are breached.

TeachingPlans.ie does not guarantee that access will remain available after the stated access period. Participants are responsible for viewing the content within that period.

  1. Technology and Access

Webinars may be delivered through third-party platforms such as Zoom or through other services specified in the relevant webinar description. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have a stable internet connection, a compatible device, current software where required, and any other technology needed to access the webinar.

TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for a participant’s internet connection, device, software, security settings or other technical issue outside its reasonable control. Reasonable assistance may be offered, but TeachingPlans.ie cannot guarantee that every participant’s individual technical issue can be resolved.

If a technical problem within the control of TeachingPlans.ie materially prevents the delivery of a paid webinar, TeachingPlans.ie will take reasonable steps to provide an appropriate remedy, which may include rescheduling the webinar, providing access to a recording or issuing a refund, as appropriate and in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Privacy and Attendance Information

TeachingPlans.ie processes participants’ personal information, including names, email addresses, booking details and webinar attendance information, for purposes that may include administering bookings, providing access to webinars and associated materials, maintaining webinar security, communicating with participants, verifying attendance and issuing certificates.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the TeachingPlans.ie Privacy Policy. Webinars are delivered using third-party platforms, which may also process participants’ personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Attendance records generated by the webinar platform may be checked against registration information to verify authorised access and, where applicable, eligibility for a certificate.

  1. Recording and Participant Recording Restrictions

Live webinars may be recorded where this is stated in the webinar description or communicated to participants before or at the beginning of the session. Participants will be notified when recording is taking place through the webinar platform or by the host.

Depending on the webinar format and settings, a recording may capture a participant’s displayed name, profile image, chat contribution, voice or video. Participants who do not wish to be identifiable in a recording should not voluntarily activate their microphone or camera or submit identifying information through interactive features.

Participants may not make their own audio or video recording, transcription, photograph or screen capture of a webinar, or permit an artificial intelligence or other automated tool to record, transcribe or process webinar content, without the prior written permission of TeachingPlans.ie.

Any recording supplied by TeachingPlans.ie is for the registered participant’s personal professional use only. It may not be shared, copied, downloaded unless expressly permitted, publicly displayed, republished, redistributed or made available to another person.

  1. Webinar Content, Permitted Use and Intellectual Property

Webinar content is developed by TeachingPlans.ie with reference to the Irish primary school curriculum, published guidance and other relevant educational sources available at the time of delivery. It is provided for professional learning and informational purposes and does not constitute official advice from the Department of Education and Youth, NCCA, Oide, NCSE or any other public body. Participants remain responsible for exercising their professional judgement and following their school’s policies and agreed practices.

Webinar recordings, slides, handouts, templates, completed examples and other original materials created by TeachingPlans.ie remain the intellectual property of TeachingPlans.ie. Subject to payment of any applicable fee and compliance with these Terms and Conditions, the registered participant is granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the materials for their own professional practice.

Where editable templates are provided, an individual registered participant may download, copy, edit and use them in their own professional work. Unless otherwise stated in the webinar description or agreed in writing, materials may not be shared with colleagues or other individuals, uploaded to shared drives or publicly accessible platforms, republished, resold, redistributed or incorporated into products, courses or training materials provided to others.

For a webinar booked by a school or other organisation, the number of participants permitted to receive or use the accompanying materials and the scope of the licence will be as stated in the booking agreement or webinar description.

Third-party extracts, images and materials included or referenced in a webinar remain the property of their respective copyright holders and are subject to the applicable permissions, licences and copyright provisions.

  1. Certificate of Completion

Where a certificate of completion is included with a webinar, this will be stated in the relevant webinar description or booking agreement.

TeachingPlans.ie does not independently verify whether a participant has attended the live webinar or watched a recording in full. The certificate is provided for the participant to complete by entering their own name and declaring that they have watched the webinar in full. Participants are responsible for ensuring that this declaration is accurate.

The certificate records the participant’s own declaration of completion. It is not a certificate of verified attendance, does not constitute an accredited qualification and does not confirm entitlement to recognised continuing professional development credits unless expressly stated.

  1. Participant Conduct and Webinar Security

Participants must behave professionally and must not disrupt a live webinar, attempt to obtain unauthorised access, impersonate another person, display or communicate inappropriate content, interfere with the webinar platform or compromise the privacy or security of another participant or the host.

TeachingPlans.ie may refuse admission to or remove a person whose identity or entitlement to attend cannot reasonably be verified, or whose behaviour is disruptive, inappropriate or in breach of these Terms and Conditions. No refund will be provided where removal results from the participant’s own breach, subject to the participant’s statutory rights. TeachingPlans.ie may also refuse future bookings in cases of serious or repeated misconduct.

  1. Changes, Disruption and Cancellation by TeachingPlans.ie

TeachingPlans.ie may make reasonable changes to a webinar’s content, presenter, date, time, duration or delivery platform where necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant change as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where a significant change materially affects a participant’s paid booking, TeachingPlans.ie will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include access to a rescheduled session, a transfer, access to a recording or a refund, depending on the circumstances and the terms stated in the webinar description.

If TeachingPlans.ie cancels a paid webinar and does not provide an agreed reasonable alternative, affected participants will receive a refund of the webinar fee paid. This does not affect any other remedy to which a participant may be entitled under applicable law.

TeachingPlans.ie will not be responsible for a delay, interruption or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Where such circumstances prevent a paid webinar from being delivered, TeachingPlans.ie will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it or provide another appropriate remedy.

  1. Limitation of Liability

TeachingPlans.ie will provide webinars and associated digital content with reasonable care and skill. However, it does not guarantee that webinar content will be suitable for every participant’s individual circumstances or achieve a particular professional outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeachingPlans.ie will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, or loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made. Where liability may lawfully be limited, the total liability of TeachingPlans.ie for a claim relating to a webinar will not exceed the amount paid for the webinar giving rise to that claim.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited or affects a participant’s statutory consumer rights.

  1. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law. This does not deprive a consumer of any mandatory protections available under the law applicable to them.

The parties are encouraged to attempt to resolve a dispute through direct, informal communication before commencing legal proceedings. Any unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
