PRIMARY LANGUAGE CURRICULUM

The Primary Language Curriculum (PLC) supports the teaching of English and Gaeilge for all class levels from Junior Infants to Sixth Class in English-medium, Gaeltacht, and Irish-medium primary schools. Our editable documents are based on the most recent 2019 version of the PLC and have been designed to help teachers confidently plan using the PLC’s strands, elements, and learning outcomes. All sample recorded preparation includes the sections recommended in the 2021 Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning for all Primary and Special Schools.
