General T&Cs
Welcome to TeachingPlans.ie. These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Refunds Policy govern your use of this website and your purchase and use of products and services offered by TeachingPlans.ie. Additional terms may apply to particular services, including our Webinar Terms and Conditions and Consultancy Services Terms and Conditions. Where applicable, these additional terms form part of your agreement with TeachingPlans.ie.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using the website or purchasing a product or service, you agree to be bound by the applicable terms.
- Company Information
TeachingPlans.ie is owned and operated by Teaching Plans (Ireland) Limited, a company registered in Ireland under Company Registration Number 711858.
Registered business address: Teaching Plans (Ireland) Limited, County Laois, Ireland.
Email: info@teachingplans.ie.
- Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TeachingPlans.ie, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the website or purchase its products or services.
TeachingPlans.ie may update these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to the website, products, services or applicable law. Updated terms will apply from the date on which they are published. Any purchase already completed will remain subject to the terms in effect when the order was placed, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the purchaser.
- Products and Services
TeachingPlans.ie offers digital teaching resources and related services. These may include teaching plans, recorded preparation documents, templates, completed examples, guides, presentations, webinars, webinar recordings and other educational materials.
The contents, format, price, access arrangements and any other relevant conditions will be stated in the applicable product or service description. Customers should review this information carefully before purchasing.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products offered through TeachingPlans.ie are digital and no physical goods will be delivered.
Live and pre-recorded webinars may also be subject to the separate TeachingPlans.ie Webinar Terms and Conditions and the information provided in the relevant webinar description. Where a webinar is booked by a school or other organisation, additional terms may be agreed in writing.
- Digital Formats and Software Requirements
Product descriptions will identify the file format or method of access where relevant. Formats may include Microsoft Word, Google Docs, PDF or other digital formats.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have a compatible device, suitable software, an adequate internet connection and the basic technical ability required to access, download, open and use a product before purchasing it.
TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible where a customer cannot access or use a product because they do not have compatible software or equipment or do not have the technical knowledge required to use the stated format. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where digital content supplied by TeachingPlans.ie is faulty, does not correspond with its description or otherwise fails to conform to the contract.
Features, formatting or functionality may vary depending on the customer’s device, software version or third-party platform.
- Orders, Payment and Pricing
Prices will be displayed on the website before an order is placed. Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
TeachingPlans.ie may change product prices, introduce or withdraw discounts, and add, update or remove products at any time. A subsequent change in price does not affect an order that has already been completed and does not entitle a previous purchaser to a refund of the difference.
TeachingPlans.ie reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing or product-description error, suspected fraud, unauthorised use of a payment method, a technical error or another legitimate reason. Where payment has already been taken for an order that TeachingPlans.ie cancels, the amount paid will be refunded.
Free resources, advice or promotional offers may be made available at the discretion of TeachingPlans.ie and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
- Digital Delivery and Customer Information
Digital products and access information will be supplied using the method stated on the website, in the product description, during checkout or in the communications accompanying the order.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, including a valid email address, and for checking their order confirmation, customer account where applicable, spam or junk folder and any download or access instructions supplied.
TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for communications or access information that are not received because a customer has provided incorrect information, has a full inbox, has blocked relevant emails or is experiencing another email or technical issue outside the control of TeachingPlans.ie.
Customers should contact info@teachingplans.ie if they have completed payment but have not received or cannot locate the relevant order or access information.
- Immediate Digital Supply and Cancellation Rights
Digital products sold through TeachingPlans.ie are generally made available for immediate access following successful payment.
By completing a purchase and accepting these Terms and Conditions, the customer expressly requests that any digital content included in the order be supplied immediately rather than waiting until the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period. The customer acknowledges that, once access to the digital content has been provided, they will lose any applicable statutory right to cancel in relation to that digital content, to the extent permitted by law.
This provision does not exclude any statutory rights or remedies that may apply where digital content is faulty, is not supplied as described or does not otherwise conform to the contract.
Where an order includes a service to be provided at a later date, including a live webinar, additional cancellation conditions may apply to that service as stated in the relevant description or Webinar Terms and Conditions.
- Downloads, Access and Storage
Customers are responsible for downloading and securely saving purchased files to their own device or storage system as soon as reasonably practicable after purchase.
Download links, online access and files held within a customer account are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. A product may later be updated, replaced, removed or reconfigured, and the original version may cease to be available through the website.
TeachingPlans.ie may attempt to resend an original purchase where the customer contacts info@teachingplans.ie within six months of the order and provides the relevant order number. Resending is subject to the original file remaining available and the customer’s entitlement to access it being verified.
This does not affect any statutory obligation to supply digital content or any remedy to which a customer may be entitled where a purchased product was not properly supplied.
- Product Updates and Previous Purchases
Purchase of a product provides access to the version described and supplied at the time of purchase. It does not provide an automatic entitlement to future editions, substantial revisions, redesigned products, additional class levels, new curriculum versions or other products developed subsequently.
Where a product receives a minor update, TeachingPlans.ie may provide the revised version to previous purchasers as a goodwill gesture. This is discretionary and is not guaranteed.
Where a resource has been substantially revised, expanded or redesigned, or its price has changed to reflect additional work, the updated product will require a separate purchase.
- Copyright and Individual Licence
Unless otherwise stated, all original resources and materials available through TeachingPlans.ie are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of TeachingPlans.ie or Teaching Plans (Ireland) Limited.
Purchase of a resource grants one identified purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the resource in their own professional teaching practice.
An individual licence does not permit the purchaser to:
- Share or distribute the original or edited resource to another person.
- Email, upload or otherwise provide the resource to colleagues.
- Upload the resource to a shared school drive, shared planning system, website, social media platform, commercial resource platform or other shared location.
- Resell, republish, sublicense or commercially exploit the resource.
- Incorporate the resource into another product, course, training programme or resource offered to others.
- Split the purchase price with another teacher or purchaser.
- Transfer the licence to another teacher, employee, school or organisation.
If multiple teachers wish to use the same resource, each teacher must purchase an individual licence unless a school, organisational or multi-user licence is expressly offered or agreed in writing.
Where editable files are provided, the purchaser may copy, edit and adapt them for their own professional use. Editing a resource does not transfer copyright or permit the edited version to be shared, sold, published or distributed.
TeachingPlans.ie may withdraw access to a product without a refund where there is reasonable evidence that the purchaser has materially breached the licence terms, subject to any applicable statutory rights. Serious infringements may result in further action to protect TeachingPlans.ie’s intellectual property.
- School and Organisational Use
An individual purchase does not grant a school-wide or organisational licence.
Where a school or organisation wishes to purchase resources for use by multiple members of staff, the permitted number of users and the scope of the licence must be stated in the relevant product description, invoice, order or written agreement.
Unless a broader licence has been expressly provided, purchasing a resource using school funds does not permit unlimited use or distribution throughout the school.
- Refunds, Faulty Content and Statutory Rights
Please review the TeachingPlans.ie Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
Because digital products are normally supplied immediately, refunds are not provided merely because a customer changes their mind, purchases the wrong product, no longer requires the resource, lacks the required software or technical skill, or fails to download and save the files provided, subject to applicable statutory rights.
Customers should review product descriptions, formats, class levels, curriculum areas and other relevant information before purchasing.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions or the Refunds Policy affects any statutory rights or remedies available where digital content or a service is faulty, has not been supplied, does not match its description or does not otherwise conform to the contract.
Customers who believe that a purchased product is faulty or was not supplied as described should contact info@teachingplans.ie with their order number and details of the issue.
- Webinars and Other Services
Purchases of live webinars, pre-recorded webinars, webinar recordings and associated materials are subject to the relevant webinar description and the TeachingPlans.ie Webinar Terms and Conditions.
The webinar description will specify the features included with each booking, which may include access to a live session, a recording, slides, resources or a certificate of completion. No feature should be assumed to be included unless it is expressly stated.
Where digital resources supplied with a webinar are made available immediately, Section 7 of these Terms and Conditions applies to those digital resources.
- Privacy
TeachingPlans.ie processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Customers should review the Privacy Policy for information about how their personal data is collected, used, stored and shared.
Third-party services used to provide payments, downloads, email communications, website functions, webinars or other services may also process personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Changes to Products and the Website
TeachingPlans.ie may add, remove, update, replace or discontinue products, services, website content or website features where reasonably necessary.
Changes made after a purchase do not alter the customer’s entitlement to the product or service described at the time of purchase. However, a previous purchase does not provide an entitlement to new or substantially updated products unless expressly stated.
TeachingPlans.ie does not guarantee that the website or every product will remain available indefinitely. Temporary interruption may occur for maintenance, technical, security or other operational reasons.
- Educational Content, Accuracy and Suitability
Products and website content are developed with reference to professional experience, relevant educational materials, published guidance and curriculum information available at the time of preparation.
TeachingPlans.ie takes reasonable care to ensure that its products are accurate and useful. However, educational curricula, Department guidance, terminology and professional practices may change, and a resource may not always reflect a subsequent development immediately.
Resources, blog posts and other content are provided for educational and professional-support purposes. They do not constitute official advice from the Department of Education and Youth, NCCA, Oide, NCSE or any other public body.
Customers and users remain responsible for exercising their own professional judgement, assessing whether a product is suitable for their pupils and context, and complying with their school’s policies and current official requirements.
- Blog Posts and Recommendations
Recommendations published through TeachingPlans.ie are selected based on their perceived quality, relevance or usefulness. Where a recommendation is sponsored, paid for or subject to an affiliate or commercial arrangement, this will be disclosed where required.
Advice and commentary contained in blog posts reflect professional experience and opinion at the time of publication. Users are responsible for assessing whether any suggestion is appropriate for their own circumstances, pupils and teaching context.
- Third-Party Materials and External Links
TeachingPlans.ie products, downloads and website content may contain links to or references to third-party websites, platforms, tools, documents or materials.
External links are provided for information or convenience. TeachingPlans.ie does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices, terms or subsequent changes.
A link or reference does not necessarily constitute an endorsement. Users should review the terms, privacy policies and suitability of third-party services before using them.
TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible where an external link later becomes unavailable, is moved or contains information that has been changed by its owner.
Third-party extracts, images and materials remain the property of their respective copyright holders and are subject to the applicable copyright provisions, permissions and licences.
- Complaints and Customer Support
Questions, complaints or concerns regarding a product, order or service should be submitted through the website contact form or emailed to info@teachingplans.ie.
Customers should include their order number and sufficient information to allow the issue to be investigated.
TeachingPlans.ie aims to acknowledge or respond to complaints within five working days. More complex matters may require additional time, but reasonable efforts will be made to keep the customer informed.
- Website Availability and Security
TeachingPlans.ie takes reasonable measures to maintain the availability and security of the website. However, uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
The website may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, hosting problems, security issues, third-party service failures or circumstances outside the reasonable control of TeachingPlans.ie.
Users must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, misuse download systems or circumvent any access, security or licensing restriction.
- Limitation of Liability
TeachingPlans.ie will supply digital content and services with reasonable care and skill.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeachingPlans.ie will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, or loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was formed.
TeachingPlans.ie is not responsible for loss caused by a customer’s incompatible software or equipment, failure to save downloaded files, misuse of a resource or reliance on a resource without exercising appropriate professional judgement.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, the total liability of TeachingPlans.ie arising from a product or service will not exceed the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects a customer’s statutory consumer rights.
- Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
- Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law. This does not deprive a consumer of any mandatory protections available under the law applicable to them.
The parties are encouraged to attempt to resolve a dispute through direct, informal communication before commencing legal proceedings. Any unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
