I took a break from teaching for a few years and was nervous about doing interviews again, but this guide saved me. I also purchased the other interview guide first but this one has so much more plus it has application form advice, which definitely improved my applications immensely and helped me tailor them for each school.
I get very nervous for interviews and tend to ramble during them, and this was great to give me a refresher of what I learned in college and also helped me to reflect on my previous experiences. The answers are well written and seem to include everything without too much unnecessary info. I’ve had a few interviews and studied the questions the evenings before and mornings of and they put me at ease – and there’s lots of space to write your own answers too.
All in all highly recommended, there’s so much to think about before an interview and it’s great to have it all on one PDF.
I also think I need to add that I got two job offers and the guide definitely was great in helping me get those, so thank you 🙂

This guide is well worth purchasing. While I have been teaching for almost twenty years, it has been over a decade since I applied for a job or did an interview. This pack was my go to for every step of the application and interview process. The Standard Application Form was all new to me and I initially felt overwhelmed when I saw what had to be completed. This guide was a life saver however and I consulted it for every section of the form. It’s full of very practical, helpful tips and examples. It also includes great examples of different cover letters based on the position that you are applying for, i.e. Catholic, Educate Together etc. The interview guide is very comprehensive and gives clear, concise sample answers. It encourages you to reflect on your own experiences and learning to create personal responses to questions. The book is written as a workbook with space provided to write your own answers in preparation. I also appreciated the tips regarding programmes and publications that one should be aware of when applying for a job in primary teaching. It’s also important to mention that I got the job! Thank you!

This is a wonderful resource, and I am so glad that I came across it before my interview. I am an NQT and found it extremely helpful when preparing my Standard Application Form for various schools. The sample questions and answers are brilliant and extremely comprehensive. They are up to date with the Primary Curriculum Framework and the new Maths and Primary Language Curriculum. I felt so confident going into my interview after engaging with this guide and I highly recommend this resource to anyone updating their SAF or filling it out for the first time. Thank you for creating this brilliant guide.
