This editable social story is designed to help a child understand and manage strong feelings in a safe and supportive way. It explains that all feelings are okay, introduces simple calming strategies, and reinforces that learning to manage emotions takes time and practice.

The story follows Carol Gray’s Social Story criteria, using descriptive, respectful language that supports the child’s self-awareness without judgement. It can be customised with the child’s specific supports (e.g. teacher, SNA, SET), their calm chart strategies, and a past achievement to celebrate progress.
