A month by month outline from September – June of the main things that the SET team in an Irish primary school need to do. There is also a blank space for each day in the month were you can record any events specific to your school. This is a fully editable Microsoft Word document that you can edit as you see fit for your school. The document includes hyperlinks to where you can access important documents and resources that are referenced in it.
I am the SENCO in a large urban primary school in Ireland that has very high levels of pupils with SEN. I find a calendar like this allows us to effectively plan for the year ahead so that every member of the special educational needs teacher team knows what they need to do and when. I hope that other SET teachers, SENCOs and primary school principals find it helpful too!
