Social Story for Yard Time

This editable social story is designed to help a child understand what to expect and what they can do during yard time at school. It covers joining in games, using kind and clear language with friends, and knowing it’s okay to take a break and have alone time when needed.

Written in line with Carol Gray’s Social Story criteria, the story uses descriptive, respectful, and reassuring language to support positive peer interactions and emotional regulation in the yard. It also includes example phrases the child can use and strategies for asking for help.

Do you have a Google Docs version of this product?

Yes, this download includes a PDF document with a link to the product in Google Docs. When you click this link, you will be asked to create your own copy of the document. You will need to open the Document on a computer to do this, as it will open in read-only format on mobile phones.

Can you post me printed copies of my order?

No, all products are available as digital downloads only as they are designed to be edited by you to suit your individual class and students.
