Long Term Template for Termly or Yearly Recorded Preparation

This free long-term recorded preparation template has been created to support Irish primary teachers in responding to the updated 2026 Updated Guidance on Preparation for Learning, Teaching and Assessment.

The template includes the suggested headings for long-term recorded preparation, including expected learning, sequencing and pacing, learning experiences, assessment practices, integration, and other supports for intended learning. It is provided as a simple editable Word document format so that you can adapt it for your own class level, curriculum area or subject and school context.

This free version includes the basic template only. It does not include completed examples, detailed explanations, alternative layouts or Google Docs versions.
