Note: I refer to the O.T. room as the “exercise room” in this social story. This is because the vast majority of Irish schools do not have an occupational therapist in house. Most often special Ed. teachers and SNAs do the exercises set by the child’s Occupational Therapist with them, but occupational therapy can only be provided by a qualified OT. It is an important distinction to make as the can often be a mistaken perception that all Irish schools provide O.T, services.
